  4. Hi
My name is John Roberts (Taffy) I joined the boys squadron in 1954 at Gibraltar barracks. Then we moved to Malta barracks alongside the Basingstoke canal. I loved the area and I have been back there several time over the years; it hasn't changed a bit. Does anyone remember the bridge café, I had some great times in there! If anyone knows the whereabouts of Vernon Steed (Stead?) Taffy Telling or Ginger Malcolm(Yorky) please let me know. After several years in the RE I transferred to the APTC, but never forgot my roots and the great times I had in the Far East, BAOR etc.

  9. Hi,

As some of you may know, I have been running an annual Re-Union of "Ex Aldershot RE BOYS" for the past 5 years, starting in 2014 along with Martin Pring, who sadly, passed away 2 years ago.

The next Re-Union is scheduled to take place within 20 miles of the National Arboretum, over the weekend of 18th - 20th October 2019.

If you read this, and are interested, please get in touch - my most used E-Mail is: ron@ronw.co.uk
